Ingredients
• 800 gms minced beef
• 1½ Tbsps butter
• 2 medium onions (sliced)
• 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
• 1 large green chilli (finely chopped)
• 3 tsps fennel seeds
• 1½ tsps cumin seeds
• 1 tsp ground turmeric
• 1 tsp ground cardamom
• 1 cup beef stock
• 2 small tomatoes (chopped)
• 1/3 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
Method
- Heat butter in a large pan, cook onion stirring until brown.
- Add garlic, chilli and spices. Cook, stirring continuously until fragrant.
- Add minced beef.
- Cook mixture until beef is browned and well cooked.
- Add stock and bring mixture to the boil.
- Cover and simmer for approximately 20 minutes.
- Remove lid and continue to cook until liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally.
- Just before serving, add chopped tomatoes and parsley to add colour.
- Serve immediately.
